I love technology and innovation. I understand how technology enables people like myself to progress. I enjoy staying up to date with technologies that empower artists, filmmakers, and storytellers to elevate their work, whether through hardware or software.
This technology consists of the essential components for working efficiently with videos and computer-generated images. While I don't currently own these tools, I have been staying up to date on what's needed to bring the fantasy worlds I envision to life in the future.
This is a Graphics Processing Unit (GPU) card. It enables you to process visuals on your computer. In film, a good GPU is essential for processing videos and images. This technology is crucial for Computer-Generated Images (CGI). I marvel at this type of technology, especially the latest and most powerful, Nvidia's GeForce RTX 5090 card.
This is a dramatic representation of a Central Processing Unit (CPU), the basic building block of a computer. The latest model is Intel's Core i9. Having a computer chip that can process data efficiently and promptly is crucial, especially when handling high-demand tasks like those in film.
These are Random Access Memory (RAM) slots, another vital piece of technology that allows your computer to multitask, to say the least. The latest version of this technology is DDR5 RAM. While this may not mean much to non-technical artists, having high RAM, such as 128GB, can significantly boost your productivity by allowing you to multitask with demanding computer programs.
Finally, the computer itself is where you'll find the GPU, CPU, RAM, and storage, to name a few. I get excited when I see well-set-up workstations with the best specs possible. This essential technology allows filmmakers to bring our visions to life efficiently.
There are many other technologies that excite me, and I'll continue to share them on this page. Be sure to check back for more.
